  1. Quick Start

  3. 1. Run RumorMill.
  4.  
  5. 2. Run RumorMill Setup, click Get Preferences.
  6.  
  7. 4. Click Newsgroups.  Add groups manually, or use the Open Newsgroups file to select your Newswatcher Prefs, or Newsrc (warning, this is a full group listing!) file.  Click Save.

  9. 5. If you added USENET newsgroups which you wish to pull from a Newsfeed, click on Newsfeeds.  Click on Add.  Enter the name of the Newsfeed and enable ‘Accept Articles from this Host’ and ‘Active Pull’.  Click Save.

  11. 6. If you wish to be able to be able to administer your server remotely, click on Security.  Enter a Site Administrator Password.  Click Save.

  13. 7. Select Save (Command-S) from the File menu.
  14.  
  15. 8. Quit RumorMill Setup.
  16.  
  17. You now have a fully configured News server running on your machine!
